Some custom plugins in my RCP application need to report their
startup progress in the progress bar and the line of text on the
splashscreen. This is currently not possible as the progress 
bar gets created by the workbench a long time after the plugins
were initialized.

So some methods to initialize the progress bar earlier and to 
control it from other plugins are needed.

It is now possible to implement your own splash screen and show any type of progress you require.
