I would really like to see the following three items added to the Ant UI in 
Eclipse.  Please let me know if I need to break these up into 3 separate 
feature requests.

* Outline view of Ant targets - with long build scripts, it is very tedious to 
scroll up and down the editor to find the target I want to edit.  An outline 
view would provide the convenience of moving quickly around the file.
* Color syntax highlighting - this would make the scripts a lot easier on the 
eyes as you scan the source
* Code assist - it would be very nice to be able to Ctrl+Space to populate Ant 
task arguments, and even known argument values (such as the target for an 
<antcall>).

Moving to Platform UI (External Tools). It would be nice to have but it is not 
planned for 2.0.

We have no plans for an ant build file editor. Anyone in the community who 
wants to contribute such an editor is welcome to annotate this bug report.
