The New Project wizard accepts "plug-in" as a valid keyword filter for plugin projects, but doesn't accept "plugin".

The preference page accepts "plugin" and it is more intuitive.

Karice, how does the filter work in the New Project wizard?  does it take keywords?

Only the preferences dialog uses keywords right now.  There is a keywords extension point in the UI where keywords can be defined but it's use hasn't been expanded to other areas - feel free to open an enhancement against 3.3.

Thanks.  That's what I thought. Let's turn this into the enhancement report for keywords in the new project wizard.  Modifying summary to reflect the more generic request.

Humm, I think I'll have to wait until 3.3... ;-(

I thought it was parameterized by keywords like preferences...

The workbench now supports keywords in the wizards and there is already a bug opened against PDE (Bug# 296803) to add the keywords for its wizards.

Oops! That bug is against JDT. The right bug id is Bug# 296802
