Description Tianchao Li CLA 2006-04-20 17:29:03 EDT
There is currently no filesystem plugin for linux on ppc in the CVS. I have created a simple plug-in that works fine on my machine (YellowDog Linux and IBM JDK 1.4.2).
I have no commit right in the eclipse core CVS. So, I've put it on my web site:

Thank you very much for this contribution. We'll look into creating a project on eclipse.org to host this plug-in. At this late stage it won't be possible to do this for the 3.2 release, however.

Support for Linux PPC has been added in the 3.3 stream.

This bug is opened on 2006-04-20 and 145886 is opened in 2006-06-07. I do not understand why this bug becomes a duplicate of 145886 instead of the other way round.

Tianchao, to be honest the answer is that I forgot about this bug. When this bug was opened I was very busy getting things finished for 3.2, so I assigned the bug to the inbox and left it for 3.3. Bug 145886 was opened just after we finished with 3.2, and because I had some spare time I put in the request for the new project and released the library. Just today, I was browsing through the bug backlog and came across this bug. Since bug 145886 had already been marked as FIXED, it made more sense to just mark this as a duplicate. Thanks anyway for your contribution.
