Description Min Idzelis CLA 2006-04-04 20:06:51 EDT
Just like we have a keybinding: ctrl-shift-e "switch to editor" we should also have a hotkey to switch to other open perspectives.

A very common windows motif is to "switch-to" other windows. Perspectives are almost like "windows" on eclipse, so it would be useful to be able to have a hotkey (preferably just 2 keys, like alt-tab) to be able to switch between perspectives.

I just realized there already is something like this: "Next perspective" Ctrl-f8. I think this meets my request, but it is hard to find at first - at least it took me a while. I think maybe the wording should be different.

Maybe this should be called "switch to next perspective" and "switch to previous perspective" to keep the concepts of switching to editors and perspectives similar to each other.

There are currently no plans to work on this feature.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
