Support importing log files and symptom catalogs using both FTP and HTTP/HTTPS
Please set priority to P1
This needs to be reusable code for consumers to leverage in their own UI.
What do you mean by reusable ? Defined API ? Service interface support for no eclipse users ? I will set the final sizing once I have this information
Would this feature provide support for compressed files also? I think that is very important when importing remote files. The GLA sensor should also support commpressed files, and then the UI should be able to specify which entry from the commpressed file (if there are more then one) should be extracted and imported.
this feature is dedicated solely to symptom catalogs, not log files.
The zip support is not required from the AC perspective. I reviewed the design and have no problem with it.
Moving this to correct project: Monitoring Tools
Adding plan keyword as it has been approved as a candidate for TPTP 4.3. Resources are available to complete this work.
LTA already supports HTTP and FTP log imports. It supports also importing zip files containing log files of the same type. But all this support is in the UI code. This would be a good feature for the GLA to add a sensor that can read zipped log files.

This is targetted to complete in 4.3 iteration 2 (Code complete Sept. 8)
Function delivered.
Please update the TPTP Symptom catalog import wizard documentation to reflect the new functionality added by this feature.
As of TPTP 4.6.0, TPTP is in maintenance mode and focusing on improving quality by resolving relevant enhancements/defects and increasing test coverage through test creation, automation, Build Verification Tests (BVTs), and expanded run-time execution. As part of the TPTP Bugzilla housecleaning process (see http://wiki.eclipse.org/Bugzilla_Housecleaning_Processes), this enhancement/defect is verified/closed by the Project Lead since this enhancement/defect has been resolved and unverified for more than 1 year and considered to be fixed. If this enhancement/defect is still unresolved and reproducible in the latest TPTP release (http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/downloads/), please re-open.
