Description Yohannes Tadesse CLA 2006-03-30 17:24:45 EST
Eclipse based RCPs running on Linux KDE and GNOME do not inherit the
system's font size. This option is especially useful for people who prefer
to have alternate screen settings than the default os setting. The only
portion of the RCP that inherits the font settings is the RCP titlebar.
This problem is also said to occur on the Eclipse SDK but I cannot verify
that.

Thank you,

We use the OS fonts in most views and dialogs (i.e. we don't set them).

Can you give an example with steps of how this is happening?
Comment 2 Yohannes Tadesse CLA 2006-04-18 09:45:07 EDT
Hi Tod,

The general steps followed are the following:

- Created an RCP
- Exported the RCP as a Linux specific RCP product
- Launched the RCP in Linux
- Noticed that the RCP did not inherit the system font size
besides the titlebar

I hope the information provided is sufficient, if not, please contact
me.

Thank you,

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
