i cannot find a way to undo after i check the 
'always auto-save before patching' check button

it should be in preferences somewhere (like workbench build and refactoring 
save)

sorry, it's called
'Always save all modified resources automatically prior to patching'

make an editor dirty and invoke 'compare with patch'
the code in CompareWithPatchAction refers to a setting in compare preference 
page but there's no ui on the pref page to un/set it
