Description Mathias Hasselmann CLA 2006-02-27 08:43:01 EST
Eclipse supports incremental search via Ctrl+J. This feature is useful, as Eclipse's search dialog appearing, when pressing Ctrl+F is utterly cluttered and therefore confusing. Infortunatly incremental search via Ctrl+J doesn't provide good visual feedback. Lacking a text entry field, it's impossible, to use it together with copy and paste. It requires some amount of curiosity to learn reversing incremental search order by pressing Shift+Ctrl+J.

As solution for that problem I'd suggest introduction of a search toolbar as introduced by Firefox (and vim).
