Description Robert Jakubowski CLA 2006-01-26 03:11:52 EST
Following problem occurs under Eclipse 3.2 Build: I20060125-0800:

I have defined some own shortcuts for CVS operations:
Synchronize with Repository: Ctrl+4,S
Update: Ctrl+4,U
Commit: Ctrl+4,C
...
If i use these shortcuts the information popup "The chosen operation is not enabled" will be dispalyed.

Can you give me some hint, so i can fix the problem temporary within my eclipse installation. I use intensiv the configured shortcuts.

This works for me in I20060207-0930. Could you try in the same build and let me know?

Thanks for your answer.
The first call of the CVS operation using shortcut fails with the described popup. If i trigger the opreation using context menu (e.g. Team -> Commit...) and then use the shortcut, it works fine. Hmmm, weird...

Some additional info to my last comment:
The described behaviour only occurs within Editor view. From Package Explorer view the shortcuts works correctly. My assignment for the shortcuts is "In Dialogs and Windows". I think, it is the right setting.

More infos:
The shortcut Ctrl+4,C (Commit) works correctly from Package Explorer but only for Java sources, not for resources like e.g. XML files.
The shortcut Ctrl+4,H (Show Resource History) doesn't works for Java source and for other resources.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
