Description benson margulies CLA 2005-12-21 17:36:39 EST
The JDT package include CCPActionGroup, a bit standard glue that interconnects the viewer selection model to the clipboard. It seems to me that there could be a simple version of this incorporated into JFace for use with views.

As a newcomer to the platform, I found that there was a ton of information about selections, and how various components would track other components selections, but there isn't much guidance about the appropriate approach to connecting all this to the clipboard.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
