I performed an Expand All on the equinox-incubtor project in the dev.eclipse.org repository. The project is huge. The progress went up to 79% and then stayed there for the rest of the operation (in the order of 30-60 seconds). During this time, the message read "Recieving Responses". Ideally, we should use the UNKNOWN progress and be pumping messages to the progress monitor so the user can see that stuff is still happening.

The good news is that the expansion was completed within a minute for a very large project.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.
