Hello,
It could be useful to be able to see in the view header that a view is pinned 
or not with a graphical icon.

for instance to show a "pin" icon on the left. I saw such an icon in former 
SunView many years ago, or in the XDE for .NET of Rational...

There is a "pin" icon when the fastview is displayed. The tooltip is "Restore" 
and it is next to the minimize and close items. 

There currently isn't an icon to turn a normal view into a fastview.

Yes, but there is no icon up to now  in the editor view when we have pinned a 
source view for instance

There will be changes to the image that is displayed to turn a fastview into a 
normal view. 

Consider additional enhancements post 2.0
