Description Tomas Lidén CLA 2005-10-31 08:43:02 EST
There are three connection options: pserver, ext and extssh. They all create
CVS/Root entries like this ":pserver:user:/path". But when working on the same
file system you would like to have a local connection possibility (getting
CVS/Root entries "/path").

On our system I can't do CVS operations outside Eclipse with the current
CVS/Root entries. I get messages like:
cvs update: Unknown method (`extssh') in CVSROOT.
    cvs [update aborted]: Bad CVSROOT:`:extssh:liden@localhost:/carm/2_CVS'.

Then I have to explicity give the repository with "cvs -d /carm/2_CVS", which
is a nuisance.

So, my enhancement suggestion is to add a "Local connection" option.
/Tomas
