Description Christophe Elek CLA 2002-03-13 10:33:42 EST
Often I work on some classes and need to open other editors just to look at teh
code.
At the end I have a mix of editors I want to keep (bc I am writing some code)
and some I want to close (b/c I just needed them to look at some code)
Or I may end up with some editors I want to keep and some I want to close

Today I have to go to each editor and close it or I can decide to close all and
re-open the one I want.

Wondering if an enhancement can be found, like .. can I 'pin down' some editors
so when I close all, only the -non-pin-downed-editors will close ?

We tried this feature and did not find it usefull. Reconsider this request as a
post 2.0 enhancement.

You can pin down editors and set the number of maximum editors such that you
work with 5 pinned editors and have 2 spaces left for editors that are
transient and will be closed automatically for you. There is also a new close
others options so you can close all editors but the current one.

This is not exactly what you are asking for but I think it answers what you
need when using the maximum editor count and pinning.
