Description David Newcomb CLA 2005-09-27 05:42:54 EDT
I have lots of eclipse projects which have exactly the same layout. They are in
fact different versions of the same set of applications. When I want to debug
one of the applications I have to define a debug/run configuration set. At the
end I have "Debug V2 Manager", "Debug V3 Manager", "Debug V4 Manager", "Debug V2
Controller", "Debug V3 Controller", "Debug V4 Controller", etc....
The configurations are exactly the same apart from the project name.
I would really like a variable for the name of the project which would help
towards generic (debug/run) configuration sets, which picks up attributes from
the selected project.

Marking as dup of bug 41353. A variable might work, but what I think you want
is the ability to inherit settings from a common base, and override others.
