Description ryenus ' CLA 2005-09-04 21:55:39 EDT
Hi,

In the cvs resource history view, in case of a cvs resource which has several
branches, there should be an easy way to identify all the revisions which are
on the same branch of current/selected revision, for example, by using distinct
background or foreground colors or some better approach.

Then it will be much easier to locate the previous revisions on the same branch
and compare it with current or a certain revision to find out the changes.

To make it better, when a revision is selected, there can be a menu item
"compare with previous revision" in its context menu to relief the overhead of
browsing the revisions then figuring out its previous revision.

Thanks
Roger

These are two good suggestions. Unfortunately, we do not have the manpower to
address them ourselves (but patches will be accepted if someone really wanted
to see these features in Eclipse;-). Incidently, there is a 3rd party plugin
that provides a graphical view of the revison tree. A link to the plugin can
be found here:

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
