If I bring up a cycle part to switch to a different editor, then click and drag
its scrollbar to see an older editor, once I release the scrollbar, the event
seems to trigger the current selection in the part rather than letting me
proceed with picking the editor I want.

eclipse 3.1 on OSX 10.4 with java 1.4.2_09

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.
