Description Mike Wilson CLA 2005-08-05 12:08:32 EDT
The Eclipse text editor should better support RCP applications, by making features like the following
available to them: annotation presentation and navigation, user assigned colors and fonts, spell checking,
folding, quick diff, templates, and file buffers. The Eclipse workbench layout should be further opened up
to allow RCP applications to have more control over its presentation. More generally, the dependencies
between low level components, such as the extension registry and platform runtime, should be reduced to
allow them to be more easily reused. [Platform Text, UI, Runtime]

Note: "More generally, the dependencies between low level components, such as the extension registry
and platform runtime, should be reduced to allow them to be more easily reused." has been moved to a
separate plan item. See bug #113663.

Moving this item to UI for consistency.
Comment 2 Mike Wilson CLA 2006-02-14 16:23:36 EST
Marking as LATER as this item is defered for R3.2.
Comment 3 Denis Roy CLA 2009-08-30 02:21:08 EDT
As of now 'LATER' and 'REMIND' resolutions are no longer supported.
Please reopen this bug if it is still valid for you.
