Description Boris Bokowski CLA 2005-08-03 18:10:07 EDT
We now show progress at startup as part of the splash screen (see bug 7022). One
of the configureable properties is the foreground color of the messages. I think
the color should match the color of the copyright notices below. On Windows, and
on my monitor, the RGB color #D2D7FF looked OK. Unfortunately, this color does
not look good on the Mac and on Linux.

I will attach screenshots to show the problem.

(Regarding the white pixels in the corners of the progress bar on Windows XP,
see bug 102856.)

I have asked Jim des Rivieres to change the color to white for now.

thanks Boris, good to see this evolving. I would like to review with MVM when
he's back from vacation - will likely have some visual design feedback on
layout and appearance.

Not sure if we need to do anything here. Over to you Kim...

I think we can close this.
