Description Alvin Thompson CLA 2005-08-01 17:02:35 EDT
in contrast to the editor tabs, the view tabs do not show the tab's close icon
until the tab is active. additionally, the view tabs do not show the icon for
the tab itself unless the tab is active. this saves a great deal of horizontal
space, which would be extremely valuable since users often have many editors
open and currently only a few tabs can show up at a time in the limited area.

it would be nice to have the option to use the same tabs the views use for the
editor, posibly extending the 'use traditional-style tabs' option. you could
underline the tab's title in various colors to indicate warnings, errors, and
outgoing changes.

There are currently no plans to work on this feature.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
