You can distribute any Eclipse plugin, open source or commercial. I am leaving for two week vacation but would be happy to discuss how marketplace might help when I return.

Hi Jay,

I vaguely remember having a discussion about this. Apparently you can distribute software under any license on the Eclipse Marketplace. There are several GPL licensed features there for example. Maybe Ian can elaborate.
