Dear all,

Your immediate attention is required to define the list of requirements for choosing a suitable RPC technology to be used by OpenMDM(R) Components.

There’s a bug tracking this item at

Some suggestions for requirements are:

 - external dependencies

 - compliance to standards (is there a JSR for it for example)

 - performance

 - heterogeneous communication (ability to talk to other platforms beside JVM)

Please update the bug page at your earliest convenience with requirements separated in two categories:

 - must have: these are the minimum set. All of them must be fulfilled by a candidate technology. In other words, these are the deal breakers.

 - optional: these are the nice to have set. A technology may still be chosen even if it does not provide any of theses requirements.
