Re: [cdt-dev] Nested grouping feature

Hi Ari,

The status of this would be best described as stalled. You are correct, the people originally involved are no longer on CDT. Marc and the folks at Ericsson did substantial work on this in the past.

I am really happy that you are planning such work and I would be more than pleased to help you get started on this effort and help point you in the right direction/review your contributions back into CDT.

On the details we can discuss in the bug, please ask any questions you have to get the knowledge sharing happening.

Thanks!
Jonah

Hi CDT devs,

I was wondering about the status of this feature:

I assume the people originally involved with this are no longer working for CDT development. We are currently planning to have a very similar feature for Eclipse to be able to group threads into (possibly nested) subgroups, just like the bug report describes. Our team is also contributing to GDB a lot of new features related to this, including enhanced GDB/MI to provide the groups and threads for CDT.

Any help would be appreciated in getting started with this effort.
