During the normal download it may be a mixture of single resources and
full devices. So the a button for a dialog as I drafted it in my mock
up could only say Override all i think. 

But the feedback I'm getting is that such a dialog as drafted in my
initial post is something we should have. If no one objects I would
move this then to an own issue in the bugzilla where the detailed
implemetnation could be discussed and tracked.
