See, e.g., http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops4/I20161114-2000/testresults/html/org.eclipse.jdt.core.tests.builder_ep47I-unit-lin64_linux.gtk.x86_64_8.0.html and also recent gerrit builds. I can also see it in the IDE (running on linux).
Caused by a change in bug 463744 Additionally, I just found this: (In reply to Maxime Daniel from bug 97998 comment #12) > Created attachment 73518 [details] [diff] > Fix + test case > > This patch combines Kent's for the code with mine for the test, further > tuned to pass ErrorsTests under Linux (the added test won't cope with > Windozes as is - JDK 6 has APIs that would allow this, but we cannot use > it). Other tests currently running. Since we have JDK 6 by now, if we keep the test, we should make it portable!
New Gerrit change created: https://git.eclipse.org/r/85245
In order to push the fix for bug 507716 via gerrit / hudson I had to temporarily disable the test in question - until decision is made whether the expected exception is essential or not.
Raising priority to blocker since this basically blocks development on JDT core.
(In reply to Stefan Xenos from comment #4) > Raising priority to blocker since this basically blocks development on JDT > core. Not sure what you mean. Is it still blocking tests after Stephan disabled the test?
I saw it fail last night: https://hudson.eclipse.org/platform/job/eclipse.jdt.core-Gerrit/1935/
...but perhaps I didn't leave enough time for his change to propogate. I'll see if it happens again and will raise the priority if it recurs.
(In reply to Stefan Xenos from comment #7) > ...but perhaps I didn't leave enough time for his change to propogate. I'll > see if it happens again and will raise the priority if it recurs. it looks like you rebased only for patch set #3 and since then you're fighting different bugs, right?
Builds are passing again. Marking this as fixed.
(In reply to Jay Arthanareeswaran from comment #9) > Builds are passing again. Marking this as fixed. Jay, I only disabled the failing test to enable development via gerrit/hudson. Do you really see that as a solution? I see nothing that I could take credits for. Sorry for being a pita ... :)

Bulk change, moving out to M7.
(In reply to Jay Arthanareeswaran from comment #12) > Bulk change, moving out to M7. Out of M7

The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant. -- The automated Eclipse Genie.
