Re: [wtp-proposal] XML Plugin / Code Contribution

Jens,

Thx. Craig Salter looked at your code and liked it, especially the Table View. We were thinking that the Table View could added to the XML source editor as another tab. David Williams is the lead for our XML source editor.

We are planning to update the proposal with additional contributors. Would you like to be included? Dominique is handling the details and may ask you for more info. We can discuss the technical details of the code merge at the code camp if you are able to attend.

[wtp-proposal] XML Plugin / Code Contribution

Hi Arthur,

as you might already know I would like to contribute my XML plugin X-Men
to the web tools project and since IBM contributes their XML plugins we
should see where and how we can merge these two. I don't know much about
the IBM plugins just what I saw on the proposal website.
I think I just start the discussion with some of my ideas:

features where X-Men might be helpful:
- handling malformed XML documents
- XMLSpy like table view
- data model ?

features I am planning to develop:
- Relax NG support
- XSL-FO support

The XSD features are in a very beginning state, so I don't think that
there xmen would be helpful.

regards
 Jens Lukowski
