A minor correction. I said that both Java 1.5 and J2EE are standards.
XDoclet is well known but it's not a standard.

My concern is that since Java 1.5 is very suitable for some constructs in
J2EE (deployment descriptors in particular), it's not unlikely that a JSR
will emerge that combines the two. If no such JSR is in writing already,
perhaps we should have a go at it using an existing XDoclet framework as the
base for it.
