Hi Florian,

great to hear that you are going to work on bug 299999. :-)
I added a comment with some assumption/speculations on what the problem 
is and how to fix it. I think a good starting point will be to write a 
test similar to DTDValidatorTest.

Would you like to become a committer? I like what you have contributed 
so far and I would like to see more of this. ;-)
