Re: [wtp-incubator-dev] Vex 0.5 Release?
|
The official User Manual is in docbook format, and needs some slight
updates. Ideally it's transfered to the Wiki eventually, so that the
community can help, but I also don't think it's unreasonable for those
using Vex to use Vex to help update the docs (i.e. update the DocBook
version of the files and apply patches).
I looked through the user manual, and actually used it to help setup a
local CSS stylesheet to be used by Vex. Worked fine. You may want to
consider doing an Eclipse Live demo some time on Vex as well.

Hi Dave,
sounds good to me. In my point of view there is only WTPVEXValidator
with some to-dos/methods to implement (see also bug 299999) before
release 0.5 and before I will integrate the new Eclipse Vex in Pacx.
And what about the User Manual?
I'm hoping to have more time for Vex in the next month. There are
still patches to apply... :-|

Holger,
I had the opportunity to put Vex through some paces this week. First let
me say that it has come a long way in a very short period of time. The
stability is good, and I used it to help create a DocBook version of the
Eclipse Public License for use by the foundation. So I was wondering
what your thoughts were on making a public version of Vex 0.5 available
in the next couple of months.
Also, I think we should shoot for a Vex 1.0 version for release sometime
next year.
Thoughts?
Dave
