[wtp-dev] New and Noteworthy for M2
|
Hello all,
With 3.0.2 winding down, it's time to return to our upcoming M2 milestone,
and I think after fixing bugs for so long, re-energize ourselves with what's
new and cool in our 3.1 milestones. I've added the usual templates
to the web site repository and you can preview the results at http://www.eclipse.org/webtools/development/news/3.1M2/
. As usual, if a project doesn't have anything written up on the
morning of M2's availability, I'll just comment out the link to it from
the overview page, no fuss required.
As I asked in M1, let's take our screenshots on Microsoft Windows XP using
the default blue theme. The improved consistency in our screenshots
gives the results that little extra polish, and for components who may
not have access to an XP installation, just let me know what's needed to
produce the right screens and I'll lend a hand in producing them.
The attached team project set contains just the M2 folder if you want to
quickly get started from within Eclipse. To set yourself up to edit
your subproject's contents manually, connect to the web site repository
at :extssh:dev.eclipse.org:/cvsroot/org.eclipse and either check out the
entire contents of the /www/webtools folder, or just /www/webtools/development/news/3.1M2
if you only want to work on this milestone's files. We can't check
out the entire contents of the top-level /www folder due to file permissions
on the server. And don't forget that API changes should be broadcast
in the http://wiki.eclipse.org/WTP_Weekly_What%27s_Cooking
--which will hopefully return
soon. As always, if there are any questions or concerns, feel free
to air them.
Regards,
