RE: [vtp-dev] New versions

I'm not convinced yet we should work through another cycle for 1.0.1 vs 1.5 this summer. It doesn't seem like enough has changed and with 1.5 only a few months away it doesn't seem like we're a big enough project to need to respin for fixes, especially given that our code seems to be already running OK on WTP 1.0.1. I understand their release was to deliver critical post-release fixes; I'm not sure that we have any critical fixes to deliver. If anyone is using WTP 1.0.1 along with the VTP to build plugins, please speak up.

Is now the time to roll *our* plug-in versions to 1.0.1?

No, I have seen no issues with WTP 1.0.1. But I really don’t exercise much of it.

Since we're 'off plan' at this point I'd like to get more feedback from those on the list on what would go into a new cycle. I can think of a few things that could be done ahead of new major features:

- Defect resolution (not many on the books)

- Compatibility with WTP 1.0.1 (So far there hasn't been many problems)

Mike, have you noticed any issues with 1.0.1? I haven't.

I have made a couple of changes to the Tellme browser plug-in since the release candidate was done.

It would be great to have those changes incorporated into the candidate. One thing I added is a marker on the https requests to Studio so I can track how much Studio activity we are getting from VTP – don’t know why I did not think of that sooner.

Also, I suppose it is about time to roll to a new version for the plug-ins, 1.0.1.
