[vtp-dev] Future activity requirements

I'd like to start a discussion about
the voice tools project's future requirements. What challenges should the
project solve next? There are two timeframes that I see for the project's
efforts:

- Short-term around the Callisto/WTP1.5
release train in Summer 2006
- Longer-term focus on either a late
2006 deliverable or attempt to align with the next major release of WTP
(Summer 2007?)

Whether we focus on one or both, I would
appreciate feedback on areas the project needs to improve to deliver a
better user experience and do a better job of solving  problems and
providing APIs for commercial voice tools. Let me start out by pointing
out two areas where I see work being necessary:

- APIs for communicating with speech
services such as a recognizer or synthesizer engine
- SRGS ABNF Editing
