Re: [ve-dev] Reorganization in CVS

The CVS reorg was done over the weekend. Details are here:

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=270849#c0
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=270849#c3

Note that the only old module which has *changed* is /cvsroot/tools/org.eclipse.ve, which is now a container for the entire VE source tree (including histories!) All the other modules still exist but consider them LOCKED, as changes committed there will be lost when we ultimately do a cleanup. I suggest checking out sources from the new path.

I am attempting to build from HEAD (except for the two JEM plugins which have been deleted after WTP 3.0.4 was released), so any changes you make will immediately affect the outcome of the build.

ATM the build appears to be tied to Windows, but I'm trying to develop a way that it can be done on Linux and thus be automated via Hudson. Watch the above bug for updates.

Stay tuned.

Hi all,

This is a warning for all committers of VE. Nick and me are working on the
build for eclipse 3.4/3.5. A reorganization of CVS structure is necessary.
Please don't commit any modifications until next notification. If there are
some emergency modifications, please fill a bug in bugzilla with a patch
and assign it to me.

Thanks
