Actually, this is something that we can do ourselves.

There we can change assignments.

I have access to it for the projects I manage at Eclipse, but not for
VE.

I will ask the web master for a ve-inbox@xxxxxxxxxxx alias first, then
we can adjust the components.

But now I would need either to be a project lead or be a committer on
the project to do anything there.
At the minimum a committer, and granted bugzilla changes right by the
project lead.
Are you guys ready to vote in new blood?

following:
Review quickly the bugs that are assigned to you, and de-assign them.
Also we would need to setup some new categories in Bugzilla and a
general inbox to track for new VE bugs.
