Re: [unide-dev] [iot-testbeds] unide VM

I agree with Bor, plus I am not sure it is a good idea to confuse the PPM testbed and Unide.
I think having the exported dashboard either in the *testbed* repo or on its wiki as part of the instructions would probably be better, wdyt?

Hi Axel,

Right, better over https. It is pretty easy, we just have to call unide-grinding-machine-gateway with the argument --endpoint=https://unide.eclipse.org/rest/v2

Exporting the dashboards is a nice idea. Not sure if the unide repo would be the best place, but way better than taking care of them by hand.

Bor

Even better would be to send messages to https://unide.eclipse.org/rest/v2, (port 443).
We can export the dashboards or any other generator and commit them to the REST Server, e.g.:

Hi everybody,

the Grafana board works again:

However, as long as there is not a continuous flow of data being sent to the unide backend, the boards are not that interesting.

Benjamin, I think it was you who set up a script in the past that would send data non-stop, right? If so, could you do it again? (the call would be “unide-grinding-machine-gateway start_server --endpoint=http://unide.eclipse.org:8080/rest/v2”). Thanks.

Bor

I would like to update the Unide demo / test VM unide.eclipse.org with the most recent updates of the REST server [1].
Among other, we have fixed the influx table structure, so the grafana dashboards wouldn’t display data anymore.
I suggest to shutdown the two unide & testbed server, clean all grafana dashboards and setup one new server with a demo dashboard. Is that ok? If there’s no objection, I would do that tomorrow afternoon or on the weekend.

Somebody should replay the datasets and setup new dashboards then. Bor can do this for testbed dataset, I think.
