RE: [ui-best-practices-working-group] EclipseCon panel

Given recent dialog, I'm pretty sure that we have learned how to be
controversial :) All we need is someone to argue that UI Best Practices
should be policed and that violators have their mouse hand chopped off.

Kidding aside, I think this means that we would need to invite someone with
a good incentive for the project UIs to have their consistency and quality
enforced. I nominate Mike M. and or Bjorn. I may even be willing to take
their side of the argument now and then ;)

It sounds like we could have a good topic for a panel, because there is
enough controversy, and there is good reason to raise awareness of the
guidelines for attendees, who may not be aware of this very valuable
resource and efforts around it. How about this for a panel structure?

* Platform UI representative(s): Kevin, others (?)
* IBM and visual design representative: Kimberley (?)
* Developer trying to follow in their footsteps and encountering problems
along the way: Mik
* Manager being unreasonable in expecting UI consistency from projects: Mike
and/or Bjorn (?)
* Vendor trying to figure out whether they should care about any of this:
(?)
* others?

Bob: are you interested in leading the panel again?

Mik
