Ok, I tried to not only consume others contributions and forked
"tycho-extras": https://github.com/lfischer/tycho-extras

I changed dependencies and versions to what I was able to identify to
get it working with 0.12.0 of org.eclipse.tycho.
But I did no refactoring of the tycho-extras packages.

Now it builds and runs the tests without an error but I did no further
investigation if everything is alright. I had no time to check, if it
runs fine in a real build together with org.eclipse.tycho libraries.
But I will try this on the weekend.

Maybe you can take a look and I can start a pull request?
