Title: FW: [tigerstripe-dev] RE: Annotation woes...
Hi Yuri,

Could you please have a look here? It seems that there is still something funny going on.

Thanks,
Eric

My experience of this was that I had to delete my projects (without deleing the contents) from the workspace and then re-import them before it picked up the annotations.

Cheers,

See https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=249226

I think that it is an initialization issue with headless. I think the resource monitor registers for changes to annotation files *after* the workspace has been set up and so misses the initial contents of the annotation file.

Interestingly if I touch the annotation file with an editor, the annos are read.

Ok. Even if this doesn’t fix the problem, I still had to add the missing plugin to the annotation feature. I did see it in the map though.
John? Be careful, if you hadn’t committed that change it may lead to a conflict on your side or something.

plugins/org.eclipse.tigerstripe.espace.resources.monitor

It   is now in the annotation feature but wasn’t until late last   week.

So I am using a build I did this morning from head of tree    :(

But I may be missing the   plugin...

Which one?

What  build are you using? It   turns out Yuri split out some code to  “find” the .ann files in a  separate  plugin that wasn’t  included.
So... Any build after Friday  night’s should be   good.

This may be   un-related...

OK, has  anyone    (apart me failing to get it to work) tested  annotations with  the  headless  build?

I  am    trying to root cause, but having troubles. When I  try to open  the work  space  used for the build, the TS  Annotation Router  doesn't seem to  work/start.

Still  investigating...

Steve
