I think this should be supported in Zoom. A quick search brought up this:

There are also a few items in the Zoom knowledge base. Can you give those a try as well?

According to the docs, anyone should be able to record meetings locally:

I checked the settings and we have that enabled. Thus, no password sharing should be necessary.
