Re: [swordfish-dev] Integrating / evaluating servicemix

Hi Oliver,

Ok, I will be submitting CQs for ActiveMQ 5.2, and relevant dependencies in the near future. As you probably know, there is already CQ for the JMS 1.1 spec [1], and so we will be submitting a usage/piggy-back CQ on that as well (for use in ECF specifically).

WRT to maintenance in Orbit...yes, it will be an issue for us, so we would/will look to you for sharing the effort. Thanks.

I would also suggest that Swordfish and ECF work more closely together in the future on distributed OSGi, remoting, RFC119, etc., and I'll look forward to doing that.

Scott

No, there are no plans currently, BUT we’ll eventually need it at some point, so if you would submit CQs, we would be glad to piggyback as soon as we need it. If maintenance in Orbit is an issue for you, we could also share the effort. We have lots of stuff in Orbit, so care and feeding for just another component doesn’t make much difference.

Are there plans to submit ActiveMQ (or some JMS provider) for CQs?
    Short
of that, would there be interest in us (ECF) doing so?..and
    perhaps both
groups could support 'Orbitization' of ActiveMQ (which I am loath to
take on myself, just because of the likely maintenance needs there).
