Date for RC1: Nov 26, 2012 (Monday after Thanksgiving); Matt confirms as do-able, but if problems w/ RC1, can move following date
Features:
Bug Fixes from 1.4.0
Performance improvements
Polio Vaccination Example: Still needed
New STEM Update mechanism *** : Matt is working on this, is on schedule
New Food Distribution Analysis view (incubation) DECISION: TAKE OUT OF THIS RELEASE; WILL NOT BE PART OF V 1.4.1
New Apache library
New Solvers
Plan for V 2.0
Tentative Date: 4/17/13
Features:
Bug Fixes from 1.4.1
Performance improvements
Graphical Model Design (GUI for code generation)
Advanced Dengue Example
Stochastic Modeling - need to watch apach.math.commons library
2. New Documentation for 2.0/1.4.1
* New STEM Update Mechanism: Matt will have by end of this week
* New Doc on Food Distribution View: NOT W/ THIS RELEASE
* Food Distribution view doc: NOT W/ THIS RELEASE
* Need a doc page describing (or linking to descriptions) of different solvers: Stefan to do
3. Feature Request "community model repository"
Discussion is now on the news group
Jamie: 2 parts: first to share mathematical models, second to share scenarios; Almaden team will address part 1 first, then part 2
TO DO: Matt will create bug on bugzilla so can handle as a feature request
4. Bug(s) of the week:
372770 Feature Request: Import Discrete Population Transportation Events in STEM
Discussion:
* Why would this go in a model and not a scenario?
* Need to conserve disease state with Population Migration
* Can the external data source models implicitly handle this? If so, is it just a need for documentation?
* Would be cool to be able to compose full scenarios by other means including pajek, other file formats etc.
Chris: Will write something in bug; will start working on STEM again next week, on project w/ gravity model for animal feed
376432 Smart Sequencer that stops if nothing is happening
idea: could we provide a trigger/predicate that if E+I = 0 stop (put in library folder - see above)
Jamie: Can do, doesn’t require new code
5. ITEMS FROM PARTICIPANTS
Werner: Eclipsecon Boston, submission date 11/19; per Jamie, IBM budget constraints will not allow Almaden attendees
Werner: At Eclipse demo camp Copenhagen, wants to present something on food transport
TO DO: Werner will download latest version of STEM, run latest scenarios; will let Jamie know if they are what he needs
Chris: Having some problems; Matt: Appear to be unintended consequence of work w/ data plugs ins; will address w/ Chris; Jamie: Still want to rebuild maps of Europe; Chris: will be @ Berlin Eclipse demo camp, will see Werner there
Judy: Epidemics4 conference will be in Amsterdam in October 2013; no information on submission dates available as of yet; will track, alert as soon as info appears
