03/02/2011

Task and Documentation Tracking

On call: Jamie, Jan, Dan, Stefan, Matt, Werner, Judy

Please Note: All participants are invited to input into the agenda by sending an email to judyvdouglas@xxxxxxxxxxx  on the Monday before the call by noon California time.

Update on Graphical Editor and the Pajak Editor Part II -- Jan

·         Jan: Has Stefan tried the editor? Stefan: Yes. Excellent.

·         Jan: Queries re (1) saving and (2) canonical graph

·         Discussion re saving

·         Create hidden gml folder for your project; when you create a custom graph, save it to that folder

·         Where to put folder? Under projects or graphs? What does this mean if graph is dragged to a new event? Currently referenced, eventually may need to clone

·         Decision re saving

·         To Do: Add a bug: With creation of a new gml folder have to deal with refactoring

·         For older projects, users will need to create it themselves

·         Jan: Had no problem with plug-in; no need for additional documentation

·         Jan: Need inline? Stefan: Yes in case edit later, add changes to emf folder

·         To Do: After editor is checked in, will need to move classes up higher

·         Discussion re canonical graph

·         Save graph, all changes made as single graph; edit only single graph; Stefan: now have to edit submodel, not parent model; Jamie: can flatten, can combine

·         Jamie: Save = save graph, fragments; new feature export to canonical graph; flatten

·         Jan: Can keep track of changes

·         Decision re canonical graph

·         To Do: Now give option to view canonical graph

·         In future give option to save whole canonical graph

URI naming that must be used by Pajak – Jamie

·         Jamie: If using Pajak to make new graph, need to conform to STEM naming convention: name must contain parent URI followed by a dash as a separator

·         To Do: Jan will verify that nodes under existing node comply and the URI reflects containment

Partitioning a STEM graph across servers -- Stefan

·         Stefan: Has developed early version with optimal partitioning to reduce load

·         Jamie: Any experts on Java messaging? Now using socket messaging. What’s fastest? Different ways to support? Need to check with Australia group

Logging of parent nodes -- Jamie

·         Jamie: Confusion when logger logs parent nodes, need to aggregate? Aggregation by Analysis Perspective – don’t need

·         To Do: Eliminate logging of parent nodes

TB Model -- Stefan

·         Stefan: Model w/ two infectious compartments (latest and active) is working; need to make sure can handle everywhere in code in STEM

Added Items

·         Jamie: Arik can’t join call; has call w/ him tomorrow to discuss TB models, etc.

·         To Do: Jamie to follow up with colleagues in Australia

Bug 194114: Javadoc generation, etc. – Matt

·         Discussion: When see Javadoc, usually APIs from binary build; Most STEM users are building from source, not sure how helpful Javadoc would be but would require an incremental amount of work

·         Decision

·         To Do: Close the bug

Update on student projects

·         Students not on call; item deferred

Items from Participants

·         Jan: When using the Pajak importer and the picker, found a bug. URI has a mistake: prefix appears twice in the code

  • To Do: Jan will submit a bug w/ info on how to reproduce
  • To Do: Jamie will assign to be fixed

·         Judy: PLoS submitted; heard from Elsevier 2/22, will contact mid-March if no word by then; will check on status of AMIA proposal

·         Werner: Healthcare OSGI to have BOF meeting Monday 21st; Jamie: probably not able to attend Eclipsecon

  • To Do: Jamie will contact Sara Knoop about this, copy Werner on email
