call with Swiss scientists modeling malaria yesterday; per Jamie, not focused
on mathematical modeling; per Arik, not interested in the spatial elements of
disease modeling; per Jamie, they did identify open code they’ve written,
we will look into STEM

Looking at using CDO, posted observations, queries on Newsgroup ·
Matt:
CDO offers ability to do collaborative authoring; can now do some of this via
the use of drop ins, what CDO offers in more online authoring ·
Jamie:
With an online view of Project Explore, how to use version control? ·
Greg:
Tero’s #2 on Newgroup post of interest; his team is interacting directly
w/ STEM, clients are not; interactive view doesn’t buy much; ideal is a
web service (initialize, say go, get data back); client API; have already
stripped off front end ·
Matt:
Use key value databases; offer distributed computing, infrastructure; analyze
masses of data? Adds overhead ·
