Hey folks.

The slot allocation deadline is 2pm EDT today. As of this point, we've asked for enough slots to accept all of the proposals that have a mentor volunteer. We have until the deadline to update this request. If you haven't yet volunteered to mentor a student project and intend to do so, please do so ASAP. Please also send a note to emo@xxxxxxxxxxx to ensure that we notice the change with enough time to do something about it. We will do our best to keep our slot allocation request up-to-date as the deadline approaches.

Note that the good folks at Google are pretty strict with deadlines.

Please only volunteer for those proposals that you actually intend to mentor. The good folks at Google will likely make me demonstrate that a mentor can handle more than two projects, so if you intend to volunteer for more than two, please send me a note (wayne@xxxxxxxxxxx) with some motivation for your choice and a few words about how you intend to balance mentoring responsibilities.

The deadline is Monday. I'll periodically check over the weekend to keep our slot allocation request up to date.
