In http://wiki.eclipse.org/Riena_on_RAP  is a description of the facade factory pattern that will be used for platform specific implementations dealing with UI.

For the handling of singletons there is now a first prototype of a helper class: SingletonProvider.

Anything regarding this will be tracked in https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=324077

Hi Rienars,

 

As you might know one of our goals for 3.0 is to lift Riena on RAP. This is a very challenging goal.

Fortunatly, we have Elias on board who knows both frameworks very well. He already has made big leaps to reach that goal.

He also started a wiki page (http://wiki.eclipse.org/Riena_on_RAP) so that others can chime in and get faster on track.

 

I extended the wiki page with a section about common problems and their solutions.  This is far from being complete. I hope that this helps understanding the code changes that are currently going on.
