Hi,

 

as the OSGi console allows remote control it is possible to start and stop bundles at runtime. So there are possibilities to realize updates of applications that are already deployed. But currently this isn't the focus of our development and it is nothing that will come with the 1.0 release. It is also a topic that belongs to most server side use cases of OSGi and because of this there may has to be some coordination with the equinox team.
