[ptp-user] Fwd: Debugger error: Unable to determine gdb version

Thank Dan! The problem in  http://dev.eclipse.org/mhonarc/lists/ptp-user/msg01658.html and  http://dev.eclipse.org/mhonarc/lists/ptp-user/msg01797.html is solved by setting "Path to backend debugger" for gdb rather than sdm. Below is the email from Dan which describes the solution.

Hi Degao,

I and another guys experienced an issue as you described a couple months
ago. I even logged a defect against the SDM module
(https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=368312)

As it turned out, it was me miss-configured SDM's setting in the
Eclipse. Please check your setting for the "Path to backend debugger" in
'Windows->Preferences->Parallel Tools->Debug->SDM'. It should be a path
to the gdb rather than the sdm binary.

Please forward the email to PTP's user group if the above resolve your
issue.

Best regards,
