To follow up after our call, this is
the PTP wiki page that explains how to get PTP source code and build PTP.

I haven't needed to check out new code for a while so I'm not sure how
this process might be different for later levels, but this will get you
in the right direction.

manually on the remote system. It produces no output.

BTW, is there a way to switch my mails to individual rather than digest?
I was unable to find the option on listinfo.
