[ptp-user] Debugging over several remote nodes?

Hello,

I've been experimenting with remote access, and was wondering whether someone could explain something to me. What exactly is the difference between what's described in this email

 (how to add more than one node to the machine)?
I'm been trying to debug remotely on the head node of a cluster that would normally send jobs to as many different nodes as specified. I realize this isn't yet supported, but would it be possible to do it manually? Can I debug over more than one node (which I've added to the openmpi-default-hostfile)? Is there a better way of going about this?
